Abstract
Der strategische Wechsel von der analogen zur digitalen Reproduktionstechnik stellte die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek vor die Aufgabe, die stetig wachsende Zahl an Bilddateien aus Handschriften und Alten Drucken dauerhaft zu archivieren und im Internet sichtbar zu machen. Zu diesem Zweck werden von den bislang nur in gedruckten Katalogen oder handschriftlichen Findmitteln nachgewiesenen Sondermaterialien im Bayerischen Verbundkatalog Kurznachweise angelegt,welche um die Digitalisate angereichert werden können und gleichzeitig als Ausgangspunkt für die kontextsensitive Verlinkung auf weiterführende Information dienen. Der Beitrag veranschaulicht die bisher gefundenen technischen Lösungen und wirft einen Blick auf die weiteren Möglichkeiten,die sich aus der Entwicklung des Verbundkatalogs zum bestandsübergreifenden Nachweis sämtlicher Bibliotheksmaterialien ergeben.
