Abstract
Diese allgemeine Einführung ist für Personen gedacht, die mit keinen oder wenigen Vorkenntnissen an einem PC arbeiten müssen oder wollen. Für die Neuauflage haben sich die Autoren bemüht, den in zahlreichen persönlichen Gesprächen und Buchbesprechungen geäußerten Anregungen und konstruktiven Kritiken Rechnung zu tragen. Neben den notwendigen Aktualisierungen von Daten und technischen Angaben wurde insbesondere das Kapitel Netze und Kommunikation erheblich erweitert. Neu hinzugekommen ist ein eigenes Kapitel über Ergonomie. Bedingt durch die allgemeine Entwicklung auf dem PC-Sektor erhält auch das Glossar eine deutlich höhere Zahl an Einträgen
