Abstract

Wikis haben mittlerweile einen festen Stand im Unternehmen. Ihre Funktion in der Wissensmanagement-Landschaft ist aber oft nur diffus umrissen. Am Beispiel des bluepedia-Projekts der IBM stellen wir die Nutzung als zentrales Suchportal vor. Bei diesem Anwendungsfall ist entscheidend, dass vorhandene Inhaltsbestände nicht ersetzt, sondern katalogisiert und systematisch erschlossen werden. Dies ermöglicht einen schnellen und effektiven Zugriff auf das vorhandene Wissen. Die thematische Breite eines Wissensfeldes kann besser erschlossen werden.
