Abstract

Nach einem Überblick über wichtige Aussagen der modernen Netzwerk- und Komplexitätstheorien werden drei für Bibliotheken relevante Befunde behandelt. Komplexität und Vernetzung kosten. Was bedeutet dies für die Verbreitung von Web 2.0-Anwendungen? Können durch "community"-Plattformen neue Dienstleistungen für Bibliotheken und Nutzer entstehen? Wie beeinflussen der "information overload" und die ständige gesellschaftliche Akzeleration die Implementierung und Akzeptanz des Web 2.0? Auf dem Weg zur Bibliothek 2.0 gilt es, die zentralen Institutionen einzubinden und die Anschlussfähigkeit der Nutzer nicht zu überfordern.
