Abstract
Die Verzeichnisse der im deutschen Sprachraum erschienenen Drucke des 16., 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts verfolgen, ungeachtet ihrer höchst unterschiedlichen Projektgeschichte, gegenwärtig und in Zukunft prinzipiell das gleiche Ziel: bibliographischer Nachweis und Präsentation der Drucke in digitaler Form. Es sind nationalbibliographische Großprojekte, die bisher wesentlich von der DFG gefördert wurden. Sie bilden somit die historische Basis einer künftigen Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek. Angesichts langjähriger Projektlaufzeiten überraschen methodische Unterschiede dieser Verzeichnisse nicht, etwa hinsichtlich der formalen und sachlichen Erschließung sowie der Organisation der Projekte selbst. Bei aller Diversität der Projekte sowie im sicheren Bewusstsein der bloß formalen zeitlichen Einteilung in Jahrhunderte bleibt als Herausforderung die Integration der Katalogisate sowie der Digitalisate in ein umfassendes Portal. Der Artikel gibt einen Einblick in die Entstehung, Zielsetzung und die Perspektiven der nationalbibliographischen Verzeichnisse, die ein wichtiger Träger der kulturellen Überlieferung der historischen Druckproduktion sind. Er gibt einen Überblick zum Stand der Erschließung wie auch der Digitalisierung, wie sie gegenwärtig von verschiedenen Bibliotheken geleistet wird und vermittelt so einen Einblick in den Stand der Arbeiten an den historischen deutschen Nationalbibliographien im digitalen Zeitalter.
