Abstract: Durch die Einführung des internationalen Regelwerks für die Erschließung, Resource Description and Access (RDA), wurde eine Anpassung der RSWK nötig, gleichzeitig sollten die GND-Übergangsregeln und Anwendungsbestimmungen in das Regelwerk eingearbeitet werden. Aus diesem Grund beauftrage der Standardisierungsausschuss im Juni 2015 die Expertengruppe Sacherschließung, eine Neuauflage der RSWK unter den aktuellen Gegebenheiten zu erstellen. Mit der 4. Auflage wurde der Titel des Regelwerks angepasst: "Regeln für die Schlagwortkatalogisierung" (statt wie bislang "Regeln für den Schlagwortkatalog"). Das etablierte und bekannte Akronym RSWK bleibt erhalten. Zusammen mit den RSWK erscheinen die Erfassungs- und Verwendungshilfen für RSWK-spezifische Sachverhalte (EH-S), welche die bisherigen GND-Übergangsregeln und Anwendungsbestimmungen ablösen sowie noch gültige Inhalte der bisherigen Praxisregeln aufnehmen.
Content: "Vorwort: In Zeiten von großen Datenmengen ist Inhaltserschließung wichtiger denn je. Sie in einem finanzierbaren Rahmen anzubieten, ist die Herausforderung der Zeit. Der Einsatz von kontrolliertem Vokabular, kooperativ erstellt und genutzt, steigert Effizienz und Wirtschaftlichkeit von Inhaltserschließung. Auch wenn sich die technischen Umgebungen gewandelt haben und Online-Kataloge Standard sind, haben sich die grundlegenden Prinzipien der Terminologie-Arbeit nicht geändert. Um sie zu kennen und gemeinsam anzuwenden, bedarf es auch weiterhin Regeln, die, gemeinsam angewendet, dazu führen, dass Erschließungsleistungen zwischen Bibliotheken, Institutionen und Verbünden ausgetauscht werden können. Diese kooperative Erschließung und der Austausch der Daten haben sich seit vielen Jahren bewährt. Das zwischenzeitlich eingeführte internationale Regelwerk für die Erschließung, RDA, setzt für den Bereich der Inhaltserschließung nur einen allgemeinen Rahmen. Deshalb entschied der Standardisierungsausschuss im Juni 2015, eine Neuauflage der RSWK unter den aktuellen Gegebenheiten zu erstellen. Da es in Online-Katalogen keinen separaten Schlagwortkatalog mehr gibt, wurde der Titel des Regelwerks etwas angepasst: "Regeln für die Schlagwortkatalogisierung" (statt wie bislang "Regeln für den Schlagwortkatalog"). Das etablierte und bekannte Akronym ist aber gleich geblieben: RSWK. Für die intensive Arbeit an der Neuauflage, die neben der täglichen Arbeit geleistet wurde, ist zahlreichen Kolleginnen und Kollegen zu danken. Die Mitglieder der Expertengruppe Sacherschließung, Uma Balakrishnan, Regine Beckmann, Dorothea Büning, Michael Franke-Maier, Urs Frei, Petra Friedmann, Werner Holbach, Klaus-Peter Hommes, Armin Kühn, Bettina Kunz, Dr. Diana Müller, Dr. Margit Sandner, Esther Scheven, Dr. Volker Schümmer, Dr. Hans Schürmann, Dr. Gerhard Stumpf, Vera Uhlmann, Manfred Weber, Heidrun Wiesenmüller: Sie haben gemeinsam die über 1500 Beispiele im Regelwerk auf den neuen GND-Stand gebracht und dafür gesorgt, dass die vierte Auflage der RSWK sprachlich RDA-konform ist. Oft wurden sie von Fachleuten aus ihren Verbundinstitutionen unterstützt. Die Mitglieder der Expertengruppe Sacherschließung sowie Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus der Abteilung Inhaltserschließung der DNB haben die neuen Erfassungshilfen für RSWK-spezifische Sachverhalte verfasst. Die intensive Mitarbeit so vieler Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz zeigt die breite Akzeptanz und die Praxisnähe des Regelwerks. Die Deutsche Nationalbibliothek übernahm die Redaktion und erstellte eine Netzpublikation, die für jedermann frei zugänglich ist. Diese Zugriffsweise kann ihren Teil dazu beitragen, die Verbreitung, Nutzung und die Akzeptanz des Regelwerks weiter zu erhöhen." (Silke Schomburg)
