Abstract

Der Autor geht der DGI-Initiative für Informationskompetenz nach. Dies geschieht in zwei in sich geschlossenen Artikeln. Im ersten Teil werden der Sachstand eruiert und die Maßnahmen sowie die Wirkungen der Initiative beleuchtet. Ausgangspunkte sind die Empfehlungen der Denkschrift1 der DGI zur Förderung der Informationskompetenz im Bildungssektor (2008) sowie das Positionspapier2 Medien- und Informationskompetenz - immer mit Bibliotheken und Informationseinrichtungen! der Bundesvereinigung Deutscher Bibliotheks- und Informationsverbände (BID).
