Abstract

Der Transhumanismus thematisiert zentrale aktuelle Herausforderungen und verdeutlicht, welche radikalen Paradigmenwechsel gegenwärtig im Gange sind, z.B. eine Revision des "Menschenwürde"-Begriffs, eine Abwendung vom Speziesismus, neue Familien-Konzepte, Genanalysen und genetische Modifikationen als Zukunft der elterlichen Erziehung, die Entstehung der Metahumanities. Dieses Buch gibt eine umfassende Einführung in diese kulturelle und philosophische Bewegung. Es bietet eine allgemeine Übersicht der Geschichte und der wichtigsten Anliegen des Transhumanismus und verknüpft sie mit kontroversen Diskursen zum Themenfeld Enhancement.
