Abstract

Wie wir unsere eigenen geistigen Vorgänge und Zustände erleben, ist nach wie vor ein Rätsel. Für manchen Computerwissenschaftler entsteht Bewusstsein von selbst auf einer hinreichend hohen Komplexitätsstufe der Informationsverarbeitung. Hirnforscher suchen dagegen nach den neuronalen Grundlagen. Gemeinsam mit Philosophen entwickeln sie Modelle für die mentale Verknüpfung einzelner Empfindungen, Wahrnehmungen und Gedanken zu einer bewussten Vorstellung.
