Abstract

Beitrag zum Zusammenhang von Informationeller Kompetenz und Fernleihe: Mit dem Urheberrechts-Wissensgesellschafts-Gesetz wurde ein lange gehegter Wunsch nach einer "Wissenschaftsschranke" umgesetzt. Die neuen Bestimmungen sind zwar am Bedarf von Wissenschaft und Forschung orientiert, die Einzelheiten der Regelungen sind für die Fernleihe aber in vielerlei Hinsicht noch problematisch. Dies betrifft den elektronischen Versand von Kopien an Endnutzer und die Nutzung digitaler Ressourcen. Vor allem der Ausschluss der Lieferung von Artikeln aus Zeitungen und Publikumszeitschriften erschwert die Arbeit für Teile der Wissenschaft und Bibliotheken erheblich.
