Abstract

By studying the way in which intermediary searchers think and how they search, early researchers hoped to identify the best ways to train online searchers and to improve online interfaces. Discusses the findings of this research as applied to the evolving relationship between intermediary and end user, with the recommendation that researchers focus efforts on user expectations rather than search perfection so that the overall result is the best possible searches
