Abstract

Describes the material availbale through the Macintosh Gopher over the Internet. Gopher transparently links groups of the file servers and enables a search through files located on different computers to retrieve a document. Explains the Internet Protocol. Gopher is suited to specific fact finding rather than encyclopedic searches. Considers the affect of Gopher and other access tools on electronic network traffic
