Um im Bereich der verbalen Sacherschließung die Grundlagen für den Datenaustausch und die Nutzung zentraler Dienstleistungen zu schaffen, empfiehlt der verband kirchlich-wissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Archive und Bibliotheken in der evangelischen Kirche, zur Terminologiekontrolle die jeweils neueste Ausgabe der SWD heranzuziehen
