Abstract

In the years since the revised edition of chapter 9 of AACR2 has been in effect. Cataloguers have experienced a number of problems as they attempted to work within these rules. Reviews some of these problems and examines the adequacy of chapter 9 for providing current and future access to information in electronically readable form. As we move toward a non-print environment, the role of cataloguing will need to adjust in recognition of the unique feature of computer media
