Abstract

In order to ascertain how rapidly technology is incorporated into libraries a survey of equipment and software used by online searchers was undertaken in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Conducted in a population of special libraries and online search services, results are related to type of library, staffing, and end user searching. Reports on the use of CD-ROMs and local area networks. Explores the interrelationship of intermediary searching and end user searching
