Abstract
Als experimentelles Förderprogramm des BMFT zielte der Modellversuch Informationsvermittlung darauf ab, die Nutzung von Online-Datenbankinformationen in unterschiedlichen institutionellen Bereichen anzuregen, zu erproben und zu intensivieren. Der Beitrag geht auf den besonderen Charakter des dem Modellversuch zugrundeliegenden Förderkonzepts ein, erläutert das Design der flankierenden Unterstützungsmaßnahmen und wissenschaftlichen Analysen und umreißt die Methoden der begleitenden Datenerhebung und -auswertung. Die Zusammensetzung und Struktur der sowohl in privaten Beratungsunternehmen, in nicht-kommerziellen wirtschaftsnah arbeitenden Einrichtungen als auch in Hochschul- und Forschungsinstituten geförderten Stellen wird beschrieben, und es werden die wichtigsten Auswertungen über das Rechercheverhalten der untersuchten Informationsvermittler präsentiert
