Abstract

Dieser Aufsatz soll denjenigen lesern, die bisher noch wenig über Bildschirmtext wissen, einen kurzen Einblick geben. Dazu werden folgende 9 Fragen beantwortet: Was ist eigentlich Bildschirmtext? Worin bestehen die Möglichkeiten dieser Konfiguration? Welche Bedeutung hat Bildschirmtext als 'Neues Medium'? Wie gehen Benutzung und Input von Bildschirmtext praktisch vor sich? Welche verwandten Technologien gibt es? Wie ist der gegenwärtige Stand in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland? Was weiß man bisher über die Akzeptanz? Welche Entwicklungstendenzen zeichnen sich ab? und schließlich: welche Bedeutung hat Btx für Information und Dokumentation?
