Abstract

Presents an imaginary scenario of a school project to discover what happened to the dinosaurs, involving the use of CD-ROMs, networks and a presentation with virtual visitors present. Describes KIDSPHERE, a list on the Internet designed exclusively to encourage the dynamic use of computer for communication in ways impossible with any other educational tool. It connects students with each other, teachers with colleagues and opens opportunities for collaboration on a vast scale. It provides students with a link to foreign countries enabling them to develop new languages. It offers virtual travel and electronic science. Gives the example of live tracking of bird migration
