Abstract

Presents a critical overview of the Library of Congress Classification for legal materials, LC class K, on the occasion of the publication of the final schedule of this class. States that examination of the completed schedules reveals some difficulties for reference use because of the assignment of non-law numbers to law-related materials, the arrangement of certain subjects within the schedules, and the detailed nature of the law schedules themselves. Suggests some steps that can be taken at the local level to address some of these problems
