Abstract

This paper describes the experiences of one of the initial participants in the National Coordinated Cataloging Program. It includes some brief background about the program, its objectives, a description of the responsibilities of the participants and the Library of Congress, its implementation, a review of the prgress of the program as well as of its success and areas of difficulty. The paper concludes with recommendations for future cooperative cataloging programs
