Abstract

An earlier article compared the LISA CD-ROM database in its original form, when produced by SilverPlatter Information Inc., and its current form, as LISA PLUS, since LISA's acquisition by Bowker-Saur in 1990 (Electronic library 12(1994) no.1, S.5-9). The article compared the 2 databases with regard to the user interface software (SilverPlatter and Bowker Plus) particularly from the viewpoint of functionality and ease of use. The version of LISA PLUS, used in the study, was at an intermediate stage of development and because of this, errors crept into the study and some of the strenghts of LISA PLUS were missed. This short communication corrects these errors and points to improvements planned for the future including: cleaning up of the database; and loading of the LISA thesaurus on the database
