Abstract

A grant aided evaluation of CD-ROM products was conducted in the St Louis, Missouri public library during 1991/92. The necessary investment in high quality hardware and staff expertise are grater hurdles than the costs of the CD-ROM products, many of which are relatively inexpensive. Looks at numerous practical questions concerning rules and restrictions posed by the introduction of CD-ROMs as library reference materials
