- Abstract
- To make Experience-based Information Systems (EbISs) long-lived, they have to be designed respectively as a maintainable system. This requires a holistic view an the envisioned system: requirements, environment, and goals for the EbIS impose certain constraints an the EbIS's lifecycle models, conceptual model, and maintenance. Such relationships and constraints can be described by so-called patterns. To support EbIS design, a pattern-based development approach is presented. The approach extends an existing approach for developing EbISs (Tautz 2001) and has been validated by various projects.
