    Abstract
    Strategic alliances are proliferating in the corporate world. They offer the participants an opportunity to pool limited resources, skills and capabilities to achieve common objectives that the partners may well be unable to achieve working alone. Strategic alliances can exist among a variety of partners, but making them work requires an understanding of common objectives, a commitment to those objectives and flexibility.
