    Abstract
Examines the needs of individual, isolated, humanities scholars regarding ease of access to humanities research via electronic networks, such as the Internet and electronic periodicals. Concludes that, implicit in the discussion is the suggestion of a need for a new type of information professional: the Internet intermediary and notes that some institutions are already employing 'network information officers' or 'knowledge navigators'
