    Abstract
Sweden has a relatively small information scene. Sweden, along with other Nordic countries relies heavily on local and regional academic networks. The Swedish SUNET os part of NORDUNET, which connects about 60.000 computers to each other and to the Internet. Describes the Swedish LIBRIS, based on the Royal Library in Stockholm. There are about 100.000 online users in Sweden, out of a population of 8,5 million. The MIC/MEDLARS service ranks first in usage followed by several Swedish databanks. 80% of users in the traditional sector are end users. Describes the Soft Centre at Ronneby which presents a model for industrial networking as a conference centre, high-tech industrial camps and university camps

    Abstract
Compiling this annual review for Database has involved a combination of intuition, speculation and extrapolation, with a liberal measure of judgement calls. If you're looking for its mainstream and fairly recent, you may well be able to find it on CompuServe or America Online. Mosaic and similar Web browsers represent a fresh and intuitive approach to organizing complex, multilevel information in a coherent way
