- Abstract
- Assesses scholarly network periodicals from the reader's point of view. Reviews 7 subscription periodicals that are published primarily on the Internet with particular reference to: the nature of their contents, format, and policies. The review forms the basis of an assessment of the ease of use and usefulness of current network periodicals. While network periodicals present a number of problems, they have also begun to include features which offer readers an advantage over printed periodicals. Concludes with a brief discussion of requirements for future scholarly network periodicals
