- Presents the results of a systematic comparative self-rating study at the Central Medical Library of the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover during summer 1993. CD-ROM users were given the opportunity to searching in MEDLINE using a retrieval system enhanced with fuzzy logic components (KnowledgeFinder) alternatively to the previously used retrieval system which was based on traditional Boolean search logic functionalities (SilverPlatter). reports the results of a users questionnaire rating performance by result quality. Discusses possible reasons for considerable differences in retrieving from the same database with different approaches
