    Abstract
Discusses the origins of the Internet, what is available on the Internet and searching the Internet. Describes how SilverPlatter has cooperated in making its Electronic Reference Library databases and retrieval technology interoperable with OPACs, new retrieval software and Mosaic. Also discusses a pilot project, the Electronic Academic Reference Library, to create a new information service offering multiple interface access to bibliographic information over the SuperJANET network
