    Abstract
    Outlines the more important typologies used to categorize documents between 1960-1990 using criteria such as media, primary and secondary publications and level of publication - published or unpublished materials. Contrasts these typologies with one obtained by applying a model of a documentary chain, with the aim of provoking a constructive debate leading to the standardization of the terminology
