    Abstract
COPAC (CURL Online Public Access Catalogue) is the new OPAC which provides free access to the information contained in the main online catalogues of a number of important academic research libraries. Records are currently contributed by the university libraries of Cambridge, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Oxford and Trinity College, Dublin. All libraries are members of the Consortium of University Research Libraries (CURL) and COPAC is seen as partial realization of the aims of earlier projects, such as the UK Libraries Database System (UKLDS). Records from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and London University (Senate House) are being loaded and the online catalogues of the remaining 12 CURL member libraries will be added in due course
