    Abstract
Describes a program called FastCat which has been developed at the University of Nevada; Las Vegas (UNLV) in an effort to reduce cataloguing time. Written in Microsoft Visual Basic and running under Microsoft Windows, the program connects OCLC, a bibliographic utility, and INNOPAC, an online catalogue. Explains how the cataloguer's workstation allows a number of windows to these facilities to be open at the same time and data to be manipulated between them, through downloading and cutting and pasting. Notes also the facilities offered by the program to generate spine lables, bindary slips and statistics, and a number of enhancements the system which are in the offering
