    Abstract
    Die Bedeutung von Wissensarbeitern nimmt für unsere technologisch kochentwickelte Gesellschaft zu. Diese Wissensarbeit findet oft in Projektteams statt, die Lösungen für individuelle Probleme entwickeln. In den vergangenen Jahren hat man sich in Unternehmen unter dem Schlagwort des »Business Process Reengineering« hauptsächlich der funktionalen Optimierung von Geschäfts- und Produktionsprozessen gewidmet. Hier wurden die Optimierungspotenziale in Form von niedrigen Durchlaufzeiten, gesunkenen Kosten und verbessertem Kundenservice auch weitgehend ausgeschöpft. In der teambasierten Wissensarbeit liegt jedoch ein bisher oft ungenutztes Optimierungspotenzial. Der Einsatz der geeigneten Softwaresysteme ist der Schlüssel dazu.
