- Abstract
- Discusses likely future trends in the development and management of public library reference services. Considers the access issue of ensuring that those without the economic or technical ability to locate information will have the opportunity to do so. Libraries must also consider the question of what will make reference libraries valuable to their communities and it will be important that the library make some worthwhile contribution that no one else does
