    Abstract
    Discusses the course content and instructional sequence for teaching knowledge organization in universities as an interdisciplinary subject. Covers the interdisciplinary background and vocabulary; the representation-retrieval chain; and practice of information retrieval from a semantic-cognitve point of view. This should be followed by classification, indexing and abstracting.
