    Abstract
BiblioFile, LaserCat and LaserQuest are sources of catalogue records, they are not catalogues in themselves. All three products contain MARC records in the US MARC format, the number and type aof record varying hwever. Illustrates and compares the features of the 3 products covering searching, displaying and printing of records, original cataloguing, cost and hardware requirements. The fact that LaserCat contains the holdings of many small public libraries and some regional school libraries are likely to have. BiblioFile and LaserQuest, on the other hand, would seem to be best suited to libraries undergoing large retrospective conversion projects.
