    Sie werden von Autoren oder Arbeitsgemeinschaften häufig im Selbstverlag veröffentlicht. Dies erschwert die Sichtung der Neuerscheinungen und Bestellungen, da für jedes einzelne Werk eine andere Person Ansprechpartner ist. Neben den Büchern wurden sehr früh schon die Aufsätze aus Ausstellungsführern und Zeitschriften katalogisiert, da man dort häufig Informationen findet, die in keinem Buch verzeichnet sind. Aus Ausstellungskatalogen und Jahrbüchern wurden bisher fast 12 000 Aufsätze aufgenommen, dazu kommen über 50 000 Aufsätze I aus Zeitschriften, die zurzeit in einer separaten Datenbank verwaltet werden. Die Katalogisierung erfolgte anfangs noch auf Karteikarten, r später auch am PC. Leider fehlen die finanziellen Mittel für ein professionelles Bibliothekssystem, sodass nach wie vor alles in Microsoft Access katalogisiert wird. Um den Benutzern einen sinnvolleren Zugriff auf die Daten zu gewährleisten, wurde 2007 eine CD-ROM mit einem Suchprogramm erstellt, das jederzeit über das Internet aktualisiert werden kann. Einen Online-Katalog gibt es bisher noch nicht. Seit Juli 2012 kann der Datenbestand allerdings über die Royal Philatelic Society London eingesehen werden, die einen Katalog diverser philatelistischer Einrichtungen der ganzen Welt aufbaut. Im September 2012 wurde damit begonnen, die Zeitschriften in die Zeitschriftendatenbank einzugeben. Da die Bibliothek viele Titel führt, die dort bisher noch nicht verzeichnet sind, wird die Aufnahme noch einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
