    Abstract
Considers the reason why CD-ROM's promise of a large range of legal data bases has, to some extent, been limited. The new range of CD-ROM hypertext data bases, produced by West Publishing Company, are discussed briefly.

    Abstract
CDMARC serials is the Cooperative Online Serials (CONSER) database on Cd-ROM. The CONSER database is probably the most exhaustice source of serial titles ever assembled and fits onto a single CD. The hardware requirements are a CD-ROM drive recognising MSCDEX, a PC/XT or higher, 5 MB of free hard disc space and 530 K of free RAM. Reviews searching procedures. Records come in catalogue and card image, MARC tagged, custom labelled or custom tagged formats

    Abstract
Reviews ISYS for Windows from Odyssey Development / The Denver Technological Center of Greenwood Village, CO. Explains how it can help users identify documents and create a full text index of the words in each document. This allows the user to create a full text database of the documents, for both personal and Web based use. The database can be created either manually or by using a wizard, which prompts the user with questions that moves them through the creation process. It provides a number of retrieval options, including Boolean searching and proximity options. It is easy to update, using built-in reindexing utilities. Reports no significant complaints
