    Abstract
    Nachrichtentheorien erklären unterschiedlich die politische Wirklichkeit in Medien, weil sie von verschiedenen Mechanismen und Annahmen über das Verhältnis von Medien zu Politik ausgehen. Medientheoretische Ansätze, Konstruktion von Wirklichkeit durch Prozesse (Produktions-, Vermittlungs- und Wahrnehmungsprozeß), Erklärungsansätze aktueller Theorien der Nachrichtenauswahl für die mediale Wirklichkeitskonstruktion in der Nachrichtenproduktion, wechselseitige Beeinflussung von Medien und Politik und Auswirkungen auf das Verhältnis von politischer Realität zu Medienrealität werden behandelt.
