- Abstract
- Describes the difficulties encountered by the Widener Library at Harvard University in finding a suitable terminal emulation software for cataloguing that would allow staff to continue to have the flexibility of using their well developed older DOS macros in the new Windows environment. A solution was discovered in the form of Reflection for IBM, which allowed the transfer of existing macro capabilities into a much more powerful programming environment. Explains hoe the new software was implemented beginning in the summer of 1996, followed by the purchase of 107 copies for distribution over the local area network.
