    Abstract
    4 organizational imperatives are driving information organizations toward increased cooperation: economic tightening, quality improvement, expanding information universe, and growth of information technology. If academic libraries are to meet these they will need to institute strategic alliances with other libraries. OhioLINK in Ohio is a network of state support academic libraries which provides opportunities for such alliances. Describes how a number of these alliances have worked in practice
