Abstract

Heutzutage sind Informationsräume häufig durch die Heterogenität der in ihr enthaltenen Ressourcen geprägt, deren inhaltliche Beschreibungen aus unterschiedlichen Quellen stammen und auf der Basis verschiedener, sich strukturell und typologisch unterscheidender Erschließungsinstrumente erstellt wurden. Einzelne Klassifikationen können in solchen Räumen nur bedingt Suchunterstützung bieten, da sie stets nur auf einen Teilbestand zugreifen. Dieser Artikel beschreibt ausgehend von den Charakteristiken von Indexierungssprachen, wie durch semantische Interoperabilität eine Verbesserung der Retrievalsituation erreicht werden kann.
