    Abstract
    During Nov. 1988 and March 1989 more than 21 personal and telephone interviews were conducted with cataloguers and classifiers in the libraries of the City University of New York. The purpose was to determine whether or not any of the CUNY libraries adapted cataloguing and classification procedures to represent more fully the college's occupational specialty or give clearer access to the literature by specific ethnic groups. The public catalogues were examined when appropriate
