- Abstract
- Der Beitrag informiert über die neue Datenbank "Bibliotheken in Österreich - Adressen von Informationseinrichtungen". Im einzelnen werden folgende Punkte behandelt: Die Genese der Datenbank aus zwei unterschiedlich strukturierten Datenquellen; das verwendete Datenformat bzw. die entsprechenden Datenelemente, insbesondere im Hinblick auf vorgenommene Modifikationen des provisorischen MAB-ADRESS-Standards; die Zusammenführung, Vereinheitlichung und Aktualisierung der Daten; einige Aspekte der Parametrisierung unter Aleph 500; die implementierten Update-Möglichkeiten für die Bibliotheken des Österreichischen Verbundes bzw. jene für sonstige Einrichtungen; die Eingabe- und Web-Interfaces mit ihren Suchmöglichkeiten und Anzeigeoptionen. Abschließend wird auf künftige Perspektiven wie die weitere Komplettierung / Aktualisierung sowie die Verbesserung des sachlichen Zugriffs Bezug genommen.
