- Bibliotheken stellen in globalen Computernetzwerken ihre Bibliothekskataloge zur Verfügung. Damit Kataloge online recherchierbar sind, müssen Schnittstellen für die Datenbanken erstellt werden. Die Entwicklung eines Gateways für eine allegro-Datenbank wird beschrieben, und es wird exemplarisch an den Daten des Hamburger Verbundkataloges gezeigt, wie die Planung und die Programmierung einer Schnittstelle aussehen kann
