Abstract

Das Themenfeld "bildungsbezogene Informationssuche" ist bislang wenig erforscht. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, das Nutzerverhalten bei der Suche nach bildungsbezogenen Informationen im Internet und speziell beim Deutschen Bildungsserver (DBS) zu analysieren. Als Fachinformationsdienst bietet der DBS eine redaktionell gepflegte Sammlung von Internetressourcen zu allen Bildungsbereichen. Die Angebote des Portals richten sich sowohl an pädagogisch Tätige als auch an Personen aus Wissenschaft und Bildungsverwaltung sowie die bildungsinteressierte Öffentlichkeit. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass diese Zielgruppen unterschiedliche Informationsbedürfnisse haben und über unterschiedliches Fachwissen und unterschiedliche Retrievalfertigkeiten verfügen. Im Rahmen des Projekts soll zum einen eine Typologisierung der Informationsbedürfnisse erfolgen, zum anderen soll das spezifische Nutzerverhalten bei der bildungsbezogenen Informationssuche sowohl qualitativ als auch quantitativ beschrieben werden. Auf Basis der gewonnenen Erkenntnisse sollen Empfehlungen zur Unterstützung des Suchprozesses abgeleitet werden.
