    Abstract
CIRT, the Italian Reference Centre for Technical and Scientific Terminology, is a network of sites designed to manage and retrieve terminological information. In view of the multiplicity of knowledge base structures which go together to form CIRT, as well as the need to preserve them, an interface system was developed for the integrated management of the different order systems. Work began with an analysis and comparison of the ICC and ICS classifications. Automatic procedures were defined to manage these classifications in an integrated way and to compare and correlate their classes. This paper describes the different structural characteristics of the two systems in question with a formal presentation of the typology of relations between classes, the problems that emerged during the research and the results achieved

    Abstract
Ontological structures can aid the understanding and modelling of works of art. Ontology of the aesthetic object, and particularly of the literary work, has been analysed by Hartmann and Ingarden. Application of Dahlberg's ontical 'systematifier' model enabled us to organize the entire structure of the Thesaurus of Italian Literature, and to highlight a number of significant aspects of the literary work. After describing the conclusions arising from the experience of compiling the thesaurus, the paper briefly outlines Hartmann's and Ingarden's theories of levels and seeks to identify commonalities between the ontological analysis of the two theories and the conclusions of the thesaurus.

    Abstract
Describes CLASTHES, a software package which structures a system of concepts defined both as the conceptual expression of the structural relationship of a whole and as the structural relationship between the individual elements within the system itself. The external structure, which is the general structure of the system, is created by means of thesaurus facets, here defined as 'areas', while the internal structure is represented by the relationships linking the single elements attributed to the various areas

    Abstract
The article illustrates briefly the principles at the basis of the theory of science and the universal system conceived.
