    Abstract
    Searching, verification and bibliographic record selection were the focal point for organizational and workflow decisions in planning the implementation of the NOTIS system in the Division of Technical Services of the University of Louisville Libraries. These activities were ultimately assigned to the Acquisitions Department. The various NOTIS requirements, local situations and developments, and administrative philosophies which led to that assignment are discussed. The new organizational structure is described.
