    Abstract
Facet analysis is considered the most distinct approach to knowledge organization within LIS. This paper views 'Facet Analysis' as a domain and visualizes its parameters using domain analytic techniques. Over 150 papers on 'Facet Analysis' published since 2008 were identified via a search in Web of Science. The subject terms and other associated metadata of each of the records were taken to represent the different facets of the domain. The basic research question is: what are the facets of facet analysis? The study seeks to graphically represent the contours of the domain. The analysis of the data suggests that while the traditional aspects continue to dominate research in the area, aspects such as Artificial Intelligence, Information Architecture, etc are emerging as new areas of application. The distribution of authors suggests that interest in the area is now by no means confined to India, Europe and North America. There is evidence to suggest that Facet Analysis as a tool is growing in importance.
