- Abstract
- Recent conferences on the state of access to scholarly information in Australia and the USA have revealed the confusion that currently exists about its dissemination. Print still appears to have a strangehold in universities, via the tenure or promotion process: at the same time increasingly sophisticated technologies allow effective network publishing by individual academics to their collegues. Reviews some recent developments and comments, and speculates on future outcomes
